King Travis has been dethroned. Long live Pot Pie Girl, the
undisputed Queen of Bum Marketing.
Yes, Travis Sago made it to 7 figures before Pot Pie Girl, but
he got a big head start. What I'm interested in, is not who has
the most money, but who is the better mentor and who has their
students best interest more at heart.
If you've learned from the King then you know that he consistently
tells you not to even bother writing an article based on a keyword
with more than 5,000 competition....(Putting the keyword in quotes
and reading the amount of returns.)
But Pot Pie Girl says that formula is so vague it basically means nothing
in and of itself. She says you could have a lot more than 5,000 sites using
that keyword but with very few serious SEO competitors, thereby allowing.
you to get a first page listing on Google for that keyword. Or conversely,
there may be only several hundred sites using the keyword, but they all
are search engine optimized, thus the competition would be too great to get
a first page SERP. She offers a different formula to put in the Google search
field:
intitle:"keyword" inanchor:"keyword"
(Make sure you put the colon : between the E and the quote mark and
between the R and the quote mark; and put a space before inanchor,
as well as between multiple words in the keyword phrase.)
Eg - intitle:"mariah carey is still hot" inanchor:"mariah carey is still hot"
This formula will tell you how many sites have the keyword in the
title as well as in an anchor text link, which is an indication of serious
competition. She says to look for returns with less than 100. But she also
says to try whatever feels right. You never know when something will
work even when the numbers & logic would indicate otherwise.
(that to Travis constantly repeating not to even bother if it's over 5000.)
Anyway, using Pot Pie Girl's formula, I was shocked to be able
to get first page SERP (search engine results page) listings on
Google when the King Travis formula showed results in the
hundreds of thousands and even sometimes in the millions!
That's quite a big difference between 5,000. Don't you think?
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't sweat it. I could
fill you in with a 3 minute conversation, but take my word for now,
this is a huge discrepancy between the "juiciness" level in what he
is teaching and what she is teaching.
His way keeps thousands of aspiring marketers from competing
with him, since they think it's not worth taking a shot and writing
an article on what must amount to millions of keywords.
It also leaves them more prone to join his $100 a month daily keyword
service. It worked on me. I could barely find any high search keywords
with less than 5,000 competition, so I jumped at the chance to try a daily
list of the King's keywords, even if they had already been sent to hundreds
of other folks up to several months before me.
Pot Pie Girl says keyword services never did her much good
and she advises her students to hone their own skills instead
of relying on others.
It's a classic newbie mistake to pay needlessly for things
hoping to make you money instead of learning the skills
yourself.
When I tried out his keyword service I wrote to the support
department and asked what gives, because I was working the
low competition formula and was getting a lot of results OVER
the 5,000 mark.
I was told to watch the video from the welcome email that shows
how you don't get the true count of competing website due to omitted
results. And that by clicking to the last page they show in the listings,
you allegedly get the accurate count.
This means you have to keep clicking on the last page they have
a link for; like page 10 then 19 then 28 then 37 and so on. And at
some point you'll get to the end, because it will say, "In order to
show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some
entries very similar to the 754 already displayed."
So while you started out putting the keyword in quotes, for
instance, "make money fast" and it gave you a return of "about
675,000". Then you drill down like King Travis tells you to do,
and it stops at 484 results, for instance.
Are you following me here? Quick Review:
When I asked how come they had so many keywords on their list
that people pay $100 a month for that were beyond the 5,000
mark that Travis tells us isn't worthwhile, I was told to watch
the video about omitted results to learn how to get the accurate
count, and when I did that and checked it against his keywords,
sure enough, all his keywords were under 5,000.
In fact they were all under 1,000. But get this -- Every keyword
in the world is also under 1,000 (try it at home!) so his entire
low competition formula is as worthless as Pot Pie Girl intimates,
even without dealing with any of this extraneous nonsense.
I emailed his Support staff about this issue of all keywords being under
5,000 and never heard from them again, so needless to say, I quit his
keyword service. Sheesh. The important distinction to be made is, he
obviously is aware of the formula Pot Pie Girl teaches (intitle:inanchor),
but he chooses not to share it.
By the way, when he first promoted it, he said he hates false
scarcity tactics, and he was limiting his membership to only
300. He promised this was not false scarcity. You could only
logically be left with the belief that you need to be in that group
of 300 or lose out on his keyword genius.
But guess what? When he got a lot more than 300, he started a
second group of 300 with the promise of different keywords
and his Support Department says that the second group is just
as good as the first group.
Do you think they will stop at 2 groups if there is a demand for
more? Do you think they will ever stop? Do you think the
quality of the keywords will ever diminish?
Now, even if he's so good that he really could have unlimited
groups buying unlimited keyword lists and one is just as good
as the other, what's with the urgency to get in on the group of
300, especially since he abhors false scarcity tactics? And
why did they keep the same web page up and video up for
months (even after he opened the second group) making that
claim urging everyone to be one of the 300? (It may still be up
now, in fact.)
So who do you trust? Pot Pie Girl who says that the keyword
in quotes formula means nothing and gives a more specific formula
that allows you to get first page listing on some keywords that have
results in the millions, instead of less than 5000?
Or do you trust Travis who says repeatedly, don't bother trying
writing articles if you can't find results less than 5,000, but pay
me $100 a month, every month for keywords that often don't
meet that same criteria?
Pot Pie Girl's One Week Marketing, 7 day action plan shows you
exactly what to do each day of the week. At the end of the tasks
for day 7, you have created a mostly set it and forget it income
stream, and on day 8, you find a new product or service to create
a new campaign for a new income stream.
At the end of one year, you have up to 52 streams of income on
auto-pilot making you money while you sleep. You pay for it
one time, not every month, but you get support for life. That's
right, free coaching in the form of her ticket support department
that is fully trained and very responsive.
The entire package costs a lot less than one month of the King's
membership list, and it comes with a no questions asked,
ironclad, prompt and courteous refund if you aren't thrilled
with your results.
Pot Pie Girl was earning up to 6 figures within 2 years of implementing
this One Week Marketing system and there are thousands of her
students making money for the first time on the internet, instead of
losing money.

All this is spot on and by far some of the best information anyone could get hold of right now, but in addition I would just like to say in regard to keyword marketing.
ReplyDeleteUse ONLY buying keywords... These are keywords that indicate someone is just more than curious about a subject. buy pacific dvd set, is better than just pacific dvd set as a keyword or pacific dvd sale, pacific dvd at a great price, and so on.
These and other buying keywords should be applied to all niches searches prior to using keyword marketing of any description.
Warm Regards,
Clive Anderson
